cultural and religious landmark in India, drawing devotees and visitors from all over the
world who come to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna in his child form.

Temple Overview
The shrine at Nathdwara was built in the 17th century at the spot as exactly ordained by
Shrinathji himself. The idol of the Lord Krishna was being transferred from Vrindaban to
protect it from the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
While several other princes were diffident, it was Maharana Rajsingh of Mewar who dared to
provide refuge. The idol went on a journey to Mewar which took 32 months to complete. The
decision to settle the Lord here at Nathdwara involves an interesting story. When the wheel
of the chariot carrying the Lord got stuck in the mud at a place called Sihar, the Rana saw it
as a divine sign that Lord Krishna wished to settle here, and thus a temple was built at this
spot and the holy township of Nathdwara grew around the temple Since 2015 Reva Prabhu Sadan (Bidiwala families) welcomes you to the holy and historical place of Nathdwara. The temple is situated in Nathdwara, which literally means "Gateway to Shrinathji." It is located in the Aravalli hills, around 310 kilometers away from Ahmedabad – Gujarat.
The architecture of the temple is traditional Rajasthani style, featuring intricate carvings and marble work. The main sanctum of the temple houses the deity of Shrinathji, which is adorned with elaborate decorations and garments.
Devotees offer a variety of items to Lord Shrinathji, including milk, sweets, fruits, and other traditional offerings. The temple also receives a significant amount of donations from devotees, which are used for the maintenance and administration of the temple.
The principal deity worshipped in the temple is Shrinathji, a form of Lord Krishna as a young child. The image of Shrinathji is believed to have been originally worshipped by the 15th-century saint, Shri Vallabhacharya.
The temple follows a daily schedule of rituals including Mangla, Shringar, Gwal, Rajbhog, and Aarti, during which devotees can participate and seek blessings. Various festivals such as Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's birthday), Annakut, and Holi are celebrated with great enthusiasm at the temple.
